Who is Leora?

Leora has been teaching and coaching voice students across all ages and styles of singing since 2016. It is her greatest passion and often supersedes her own love for performing. She believes that vocal expression is about more than making a pretty sound. It is about using the whole body as an instrument that creates healthy vocal habits for anybody passionate about singing. Learning to sing is like learning how to drive a car. You have to know the basics before getting behind the wheel.

Leora strives to create a compassionate environment where each student will feel comfortable having their own, unique, and personal musical development journey that creates a strong bond between mind, body, and soul.

In addition to holding a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, she is also has a Master of Music degree in Opera and Voice Performance. Leora’s favorite roles include Grandma and Morticia in The Addams Family, Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Prince Charmant in Cendrillon (Cinderella), and Dido in Dido and Aeneas.

In her free time, Leora loves to throw pottery and discover new foodie places to eat in the city!

Teaching

I’ve been guiding singers of all ages and styles on their vocal journeys since 2016, and it’s truly the heartbeat of my career. While I adore performing, nothing compares to the joy I find in teaching. For me, singing isn’t just about producing a beautiful sound—it’s about tapping into the full body as an instrument and building healthy, sustainable vocal habits that support authentic expression.

I see learning to sing a lot like learning to drive—you’ve got to understand the fundamentals before you can really take the wheel and make it your own. My goal is to create a warm, encouraging space where every student feels safe to grow, explore, and connect with their voice on a personal, emotional, and physical level.

I also stay connected to the stage through both upcoming and past performances that continue to shape my artistry. From intimate recitals to full-scale operas and musical theatre productions, each role deepens my connection to storytelling through music.
